Big Stone Mountains

-->
The Big Stone Mountains is a small mountain range in Brașov County, southeast of Brașov, Romania, and also close to the resort town of Predeal.
The highest peak, also called Big Stone(Piatra Mare), stands at 1844 meters.

Day 1
The track starts from the former Knoll Mill Cottage (670 m) and seeks Şipoaia Valley to the Seven Stairs Canyon, this includes walking on steel ladders and bridges in a very narrow and spectacular gorge.

The trail continues through the forest to Big Stone Cottage (1.629 m), a small hospitable hut, very well maintained.

Day 2
The second day we start from the cottage, about an hour to the peak of Piatra Mare. The top has a modest appearance, however surprising is the view that reveals.
